Experience

Mosaicist, Self-employed Udine, Italy 2008 - present

Currently developing a personal portfolio of artworks and working on various small commissions.

Currently teaching arts and crafts to a group of preschoolers in Mels (UD), Italy.

Currently setting up a non-profit mosaic school in Hamburg, South Africa.

Mosaic Teacher, Hattivalab Udine, Italy September 2010 - February 2011

Set up a small mosaic studio and ran workshops for a group of 10 mentally disabled young adults. Each participant was taught the basic skills of mosaic, the use of the ‘martellina’ and the direct method to create individual small-scale mosaics in both marble and smalt.


Mosaic Teacher, Keiskamma Arts Project Hamburg, South Africa, July 2007

Established and ran a mosaic workshop, where we designed and created a mural for the Keiskamma Hospice. The project entailed the participation of the children at the day-care centre, the local craftsmen and the patients at the hospice.
